Soil Association licensees outperform the market

Jim Twine: Soil Association licensees are an amazing group of food, farming and business pioneers. This is not false praise or an attempt at flattery – this is fact. In the face of what some commentators have called the most challenging economic environment since the great depression of the 1930’s, collectively Soil Association licensees have grown during the last financial year by 1.1%.

Amazon to list 10,000 organic lines

Lee Holdstock: I was very pleased to see such positive feedback on the recent Soil Association/Amazon introductory afternoon. With around 50 representatives of our licensed businesses in attendance, the on-line retailer announced its ambitious plans to list some 10,000 organic lines. Audience interest was further piqued by the offer of £1000 worth of on-line advertising during Organic September for any Soil Association licensed business that agreed to supply Amazon before 1 June (heartening at a time when commitment from bricks and mortar retailers is still wavering).
